English: Footpath off Castle Road, in the English city of Nottingham, leading through Brewer's Yard and passing in front of the "Trip to Jerusalem" pub. An ale house has existed on this site since 1189. The pub's name "The Trip to Jerusalem" first appeared in a list of inns in a 1799 directory, whereas prior to this it was known as "The Pilgrim". A cast-iron marker dated 1869 and bearing the names of three overseers-of-roads is positioned behind a clump of wallflowers at the base of the stone wall. |
