Uppgift i Artur Hazelius (grundare av Skansen och Nordiska Museet) dagböcker (Resa till Häfverö och Helsingland 1873 nr. 7): "Hörde till de s.k. knutbyharporna, som voro större än 'veländaharporna' efter Velända by i Bro sn. Strängar och stråke saknas. Gåfva af Tolfmannen Jan Erik Jansson i Svinninge i Estuna som haft henne i öfver 50 år och själf spelat på henne. Enligt Jan Erik Jansssons uppgift voro knutbyharporna äldre än velända-harporna."
