Summary[edit]

Description
English: Oast houses at Old Country Farm This pair of hop kilns are still in good condition considering that they have not been converted into living quarters. Mathon was famous for its hops but now all the hop fields have gone (although some of the hedgerows still have some stray plants). There are two mainstream varieties of hop named after the village - Mathon Whites and Mathon Goldings. Worcester Porcelain even produced a celebratory design entitled 'Mathon Hop'.
