DescriptionObservatorycliftondown.jpg |
English: Observatory Tower by the Clifton Suspension Bridge
This was a windmill in the 18thC. After the structure was destroyed in a storm a camera obscura was installed in the tower and it became a Victorian tourist attraction. A number or ultimately unsuccessful attempts to open it up again to the public have been made over the years. |
