nkof Front Line. An organized class of young men, called theEmergency Class, has a baseball team that plays matched gameswith other teams. An organized class of young women, the Sun-shine Class, leads the singing in the Sunday School. These twoclasses have contests occasionally and give socials and public enter-tainments. Other classes have been organized. Some of these report100% attendance almost every Sabbath. With a superintendent, twoassociate superintendents, superintendents of cradle roll, home andmissionary departments, complete organization of the Sunday Schoolhas been effected. Rev. O. L. Martin had filled pastorates in cities from 5.000 to 25,000.A special course of study in the University of Chicago directed hisinterest to the work in small centers. In the spring of 1911 he acceptedthe pastorate of the Baptist Church of Kirkersville, a town of 300.At that time the church was at a low ebb. The only organizationbesides the Sundav School was the \\^omans Missionarv Societv. A

TEACHERS TRAINING CLASS, KIRKERSVILLE BAPTIST SUNDAY SCHOOL Baptist Young Peoples Union was organized. Most of its membershave joined the church during the past two years. A Junior BaptistUnion is one of the inspiring features of this church. Children under15 years of age are taught to conduct their own services, to read theBible and lead in prayer. A Baptist Sisterhood was organized for thespecial object of helping to procure funds to build and equip a modernchurch building which is to be erected in 1914. The Womans Mis-sionary Society, also interested in securing money for the new building,meets every appointment of the denominational missionary societies.Student volunteers, students of different nationalities and missionariesoften visit this school and make short addresses.
