Summary[edit]

Description
English: In his speech, Maj. Gen. Markus Kneip, commander RC-N, thanks Col. Michael Podzus and his troops of the OMLT for the great job they did in order to mentor, educate and support the soldiers of the 209 ANA Corps. Moreover, he wished Col. Brockmann, the new commander of the OMLT, and his troops good luck and success for their upcoming mission. The Operational Mentor and Liaison Team program is an important part of ISAF’s contribution toward the development of the Afghan National Army. It provides training and mentoring to the ANA and serves also as a liaison between ANA and ISAF forces, coordinating the planning of operations, and ensuring that ANA units receive necessary enabling support including close-air support, casualty evacuation and medical evacuation.
