Description

Le premier stupa a été construit sur le site de Bodhnath après l'an 600, il a été reconstruit au XIVème siècle. C'est un très important lieu de pèlerinage pour les bouddhistes.

De nombreux émigrés tibétains se sont installés dans cette partie de la vallée de Katmandou à proximité du stupa et des monastères édifiés depuis l'invasion du Tibet par la Chine.
