Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Path down Crimson Hill This is the precipitous (and very slippery) footpath referred to in 352691, which plunges down the Lias scarp slope below the Vickers machine gun pillbox seen in 353560. The path continues straight ahead through the trees (close to where the Chard canal emerges from its tunnel), following the track to the left of Higher Wrantage Farm. Wrantage is the cluster of buildings to the left of this; beyond are farms at Lillesdon, with the disused canal following a curve amid trees on the right.
