English: Path to Langley Green. The wild flowers growing beside this section of path in the shelter of the hedgerow are a magnet for insects and many butterflies > 1411285 - 1411257 could be observed feeding on them.
This public footpath forms a section of the Wherryman's Way long distance footpath, leading from New Road > https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1411099 through Hazlemere Hole > https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1411128 and from there onwards to Langley Green > https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1411314 further to the north. The Wherryman's Way > https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/1340030 is a 35-mile long distance footpath following the route of the Broads trading wherries between Norwich and Great Yarmouth. The route takes its name from the wherry - a large cargo-carrying barge whose black sails used to be a common sight on these waters. Ten circular village walks branch off this path along the way. |
