English: Philippine Marine explosive ordnance disposal technicians assigned to Motor Transportation and Maintenance Battalion, Service Support Brigade, and U.S. Marine combat engineers assigned to Combat Logistic Battalion 4, Combat Logistics Regiment 3, 3rd Marine Logistics Group, III Marine Expeditionary Force, share their knowledge with each other April 23, at Crow Valley, Philippines, during Exercise Balikatan 2015. The Marines both discussed and demonstrated the techniques and equipment they each use to do their job. Balikatan, which means “shoulder-to-shoulder” in Filipino, in an annual bilateral training exercise between U.S. and Philippine forces improving security cooperation activities, humanitarian assistance and disaster relief capabilities, and crisis response throughout the region.
