LEGENDE: Parc National des Virunga, province du Nord Kivu, Rd Congo: Le volcanologue Dario Tedesco photographie l'un des nombreux cratères aux abords du volcan Nyiamulagira lors d'un vol d'observation conjoint avec l'Observatoire Volcanologique de Goma (OVG). Un suivi scientifique continu de la zone est primordial depuis le séisme qui a secoué la région dans la nuit du 7 août 2015. La MONUSCO supporte l'OVG en facilitant l'accès héliporté au sommet du volcan Nyiamulagira car son ascension reste très difficile du fait des activités des forces négatives qui opèrent dans la région. CAPTION : Virunga National Park, North Kivu province, DR Congo: Volcanologist Dario Tedesco photographs one of the numerous craters near the Nyamulagira volcano during a joint observation flight with the Volcanic Observatory of Goma (OVG). Continuous scientific monitoring of the zone is essential since the earthquake that rocked the region on the night of 7 August 2015. MONUSCO is supporting the OVG by facilitating helicopter access to the summit of the Nyamulagira volcano as climbing it remains very difficult due to the activities of negative forces operating in the region.
