| Description |
English: Pig enclosure, Glen Alladale. Old forest remnant with a fence keeping in the beasties. Pigs are potentially good news for the forests, just fencing off areas is partially successful, but the heather and long grass inhibit germination. What you need is a fire or something to churn the ground up, and cultivate it for the seedlings. Pigs, especially wild boar are rather good at this.
The very scary big Alladale Wall in the distance, known for exposed quality climbing with few places to attach the ropes to the rock, ie little protection. |
