Summary[edit]
| Description |
English: Pillbox A249 A view of the business end of the structure that currently sits in the private grounds of Barcombe House. This view is helped by the lack of foliage and is taken from the eastern bank of the River Ouse. Barcombe Mills was an important point defending a crossing of the River Ouse from any invasion approaching from the east and consequently has a large number of pillboxes surviving intact with at least seven in this grid square alone. |
