| Description |
English: Pines, Glen Auchreoch. The lower reaches of Glen Auchreoch is home to a significant surviving remnant of the old Caledonian forest. Unfortunately increased numbers of grazing animals have led to a situation where the trees cannot reproduce themselves, seedlings are always eaten. Here just old birches and pines are left, but lower down, across the burn in Coille Coire Chuilc, animals have been excluded and young trees are filling the gaps around their parents. |
