Description
Deutsch: Die achteckige Taufkapelle neben der Kirche des hl. Georgs in Piran wurde 1650 errichtet. Ein römischer Sarkophag aus der ersten Hälfte des zweiten Jahrhunderts dient als Taufstein. Die Christusfigur am Kruzifix entstand um 1370.
English: The octogonal baptistery beside the church of St. George in Piran was erected in 1650. A roman sarcophagus from the first half of the second century serves as baptismal font. The figure of Jesus on the crucifix was made around 1370.
