| Description |
English: Playwave in the Allen gorge The Allen is a technical river with lots of boulder gardens and a few places where nasty stoppers form in high water, all in a deep wooded valley from which escape would be strenuous. At a low level (we never seem to catch it high) some of the stoppers can be quite friendly, and this innocuous-looking one, with excellent eddy service river right, attracted us to play. It proved to be quite grabby, but usually spat you out easily enough into the middle of the river. |
