| Description |
English: Pole climbing Always a favourite at shows - the 25m pole can be climbed by an athlete in 12 seconds. The method is similar to ice climbing, front pointing with spiked boots. A loop of rope around the pole is used instead of axes for balance. The poles are quite a landmark beside the A8. |
