Summary[edit]

Description
English: Pond Field East The name given to the field by the 1839 tithe map. Once part of Plashett Park, a former medieval deer park owned by the Archbishops of Canterbury, the current field lay out derives from the late 18th/early 19th century. Much if the land here has been earmarked for a future reservoir, an extension of nearby Barcombe, which is projected to start in 2020. Plashett Wood can be seen in the distance whilst the grass still retains a covering of dew.
