Description
Deutsch: Denkmalgeschütztes ehemaliges Postamt, Ulmenstraße 17, in Bad Saarow im Landkreis Oder-Spree in Brandenburg. Das schlichte, funktionale Postamt nach Plänen des Postrats Englisch wurde 1926 in Betrieb genommen. Das separate Wohnhaus für mittlere Beamte ist als zweistöckiges, klar gegliedertes Giebelhaus ausgeführt. Beide Gebäude sind aus Hartbrandsteinen gemauert. Die gleichfalls 1926 installierte Selbstwähleinrichtung gehörte zu dieser Zeit zu den modernsten in Deutschland. 2003 wurde der Postbetrieb eingestellt und das Ensemble verkauft. Neben Privatwohnungen sind hier heute Ferienwohnungen und Büros untergebracht.
English: Listed former post office in Bad Saarow, Ulmenstraße 17, District Oder-Spree, Brandenburg, Germany. The office was opened in 1926 and closed in 2003.
