| Description |
English: Protective Structure for Hawarden Bridge Viewed from Hawarden Bridge swing railway bridge, this wooden construction would have protected the bridge from damage whilst shipping was passing by. The structure is in line with the rotating mechanism of the bridge, so that when the bridge was open it would be above the wooden frame. The terracotta building to the left is the John Summers' building. See also 404705 In the distance, in line with the wooden structure, is the distinctive shape of the old Queensferry road bridge. |
