Description
Deutsch: Südansicht des Schlosses Wald in der niederösterreichischen Marktgemeinde Pyhra. Eine mittelalterliche Burg, die in der zweiten Hälfte des 16. und der ersten Hälfte des 17. Jahrhunderts zu einem Renaissance-Wasserschloss umgebaut wurde. Das "Altschloss" ist eine dreigeschoßige Anlage mit 4 Trakten in unregelmäßiger Anordnung, die im Südosten vom mittelalterlichen Bergfried überragt wird. Im 19. Jahrhundert wurde das Schloss mehrmals verändert und erweitert; unter anderem wurde im Westen das "Neuschloss" (ein Trakt) angebaut und der Bergfried (mit einer Mauerstärke von ca. 3m) um ein Geschoß erhöht sowie mit einem Kegeldach versehen.
