English: Quarry at Cnoc na Sceiche (Knocknaskeha) This was a surprise. The quarry looks very big, using the digger as a guide, but is only about 70 metres wide by 150 metres long, and about 15 metres deep. It shows how shallow the blanket bog soil is in the area, albeit on a hillside where the rock predominates. |
