Ingenieur Ovingen van Rijkswaterstaat over het droogmalen. Het droogmalen begon op 5 augustus. Gemalen waren nog intact ofschoon springstoffen klaar lagen. Gemalen en hulpgemalen. Naar schatting bevat Wieringermeer 6 à 700 miljoen kub. Meter water. Per etmaal valt de polder 3 à 4 c.m. per dag of per dag 5 à 6 honderd duizend kub. Meter. Dus in 100 dagen ongeveer moet Wieringermeer droog zijn. English: The collection of Broadcasts from Radio Herrijzend Nederland (Radio 'The Netherlands Revived') contains a selection of the radio broadcasts that were transmitted between 1944 and 1946. They were broadcasted by the military authorities from Eindhoven after its liberation in September 1944, to encourage and inform the people of the still occupied north of the Netherlands. After the liberation it continued to broadcast untill January 1946. This digitized audio file is a so called semi-finished product. During digitization an attempt was made to get as much detail from the original source as possible. This can sometimes mean that there is still a need for post-production to get the best possible end-product for human consumption.
