Description
English: THIS MILL LOCATED ON THE PATACONK RIVER WHICH PROVIDED WATER POWER ENERGY WAS STARTED IN 1859 AND REACHED ITS PEAK FROM 1910 TO 1928 WHEN IT SUPPLIED WORLDWIDE A HIGH QUALITY OF JANITORIAL BRUSHES. THE FACTORY EMPLOYED 1800 PEOPLE. THIS FACTORY IS THE ONLY SURVIVING FACTORY ON THE BANKS OF THE PATACONK RIVER AND STILL HAS SOME OF THE FURNISHINGS AND MILL MACHINERY IN PORTIONS OF THE BUILDING. IT IS CURRENTLY THE SITE OF A RESTAURANT
