Summary[edit]
| Description |
English: Rainbow Shaw, 1963 Labelled Rainbow Wood on maps, but known locally as Rainbow Shaw. A pleasant grassy area (under the snow) with the Shaw on the right. The shaw still survives, remarkably, but the grassy area seems partly ploughed. All around is land at one stage or the other in the progression gravel pit - rubbish dump - golf course. Seen in the severe winter of 1962/63, which has yet to be matched. |
