He shikesoff the **cowboy, and the man has to runfor his life. He ..is soon in the saddleagain The rope is still on the horns ofthe noble steer. Again the steer is thiown,but immediately he is on his feet, andis making for horse and rider. Excite-ment runs high. Its a fight to the finish.The crowd cheers. Again the rope tight-ens. The tteer falls with a tremendousforce, but the rope breaks, and the noblefighting steer, with head high, trots off thefield triumphantly, leaving the ••cowboydismayed bud defeated. I Iring a loogbreath, and ihauk God that it is written,♦Resist the devil, and ,he will fiee fromyon.
