| Description |
Deutsch: Südansicht des Schlosses in Rappoltenkirchen, ein Dorf in der niederösterreichischen Marktgemeinde Sieghartskirchen.
Das Schloss ist im Kern eine mittelalterliche Anlage am nordöstlichen Ortsrand von Rappoltenkirchen. Über den Fürsten Franz Josef von Dietrichstein kam die Herrschaft durch Kauf 1821 an den Wiener Bankier Georg Simon von Sina (1783–1856). Anschließend wurde das Schloss vom Architekten Alois Ludwig Pichl (1782–1856) im Kleinen umgebaut. Sinas Sohn Simon Georg ließ dann von 1869 bis 1874 nach Plänen von Theophil Hansen das Schloss zum Sommersitz der Familie umgestalten. Dabei wurde der rechteckige, viergeschossige Bau um ein Geschoss erhöht und der fünfgeschossige, quadratische Turm mit dem Verbindungstrakt errichtet: [1].
