| Description |
English: Reconstruction of a Late Iron Age House 400 - 800 AD In 1992 a severe storm altered the beach profile revealing an ancient village. Five houses were excavated in 1996 and backfilled with sand to protect them. This reconstruction is based on the evidence discovered during the excavation, though the roof design is dictated by the shape of the building and not based on any surviving evidence. Prince Charles as Lord of the Isles visited the site on the 8th of April 1999. |
