| Description |
Deutsch: Die unter Denkmalschutz stehende Villa Sonnwend in der oberösterreichischen Gemeinde Roßleithen.
Die Villa wurde im Auftrag von Franz Freiherr von Frankenstein 1907/08 errichtet. Sie wurde genau an jener Stelle erbaut, an der die Sonne im Garstnertal zur Wintersonnenwende (Weihnachten) am längsten scheint. Am 10. Jänner 1997 unterzeichneten Umweltminister Dr. Martin Partenstein und Landeshauptmann Dr. Josef Pühringer in Großramig einen Vertrag zur Gründung des „Nationalpark Kalkalpen“. In der Folge wurde die Sonnwendvilla, die mittlerweile im Eigentum des Landes Oberösterreich war, der Nationalpark O.ö. Kalkalpen Service Ges.m.b.H. übertragen, die sie unter dem Namen „Villa Sonnwend National Park Lodge“ als Gäste- und Bildungshaus nutzt. 2009/10 erfolgte ostseitig der Anbau eines Küchen- und Zimmertraktes. |
