Summary[edit]
DescriptionRock slope failure on Glas-charn - geograph.org.uk - 780452.jpg |
English: Rock slope failure on Glas-charn Glas-charn is a 600m rugged hill above Loch Beoraid. It can be reached by a rough hike from the A830 2 km west of Glenfinnan. The moor is an amazing maze of knolls, gaps, dells, and lochans. Here the rim has given way, with yawning clefts, salami-sliced fissures, and a great pile of blocky debris, which has allowed a small wood to flourish beyond reach of grazing deer. A similar collapse above the west end of Loch Beoraid houses Prince Charlie's Cave. |
