| Description |
English: (1 in a multiple picture set) This rock cabin sits next to the visitor center and blends so well with the scenery that some folks miss seeing it. It is left over from a research site of the 20's. Small groups of scientists would spend the winter here and one year 2 women lived alone here from October through May. It is not doubtful that at times their sanctuary must have been buried under snow, and the wind chill would have been below zero. |
