| Description |
English: Rotterdam Ferry Loading Ramp The new ferry (to Rotterdam) berths on the Humber, and hence avoids lock gate delays. The ship is faster and hence can depart later than the old ferries which enter King George Dock. This dock, and one of the older ferries can be seen in the background of the photograph.
The loading ramp has two elements, the nearer side in the photograph is for passenger vehicles, and behind this, foot passengers. Both of these are separated from commercial vehicles which enter at the stern of the vessel. |
