Description

Une des roues articulées sur une des colonnes grecques à crémaillère (en fonte) qui soulèvent le pont.

A l'origine tournant, le pont mobile, voisin des Magasins généraux, se lève pour permettre le passage des bateaux. Mis en service en 1885, c'est une vraie rareté technologique car c'est le premier pont à soulèvement parallèle hydraulique, actionné par l'eau sous pression des canalisations d'eau.
