| Description |
English: Round Lough There are alleged to be 365 loughs in County Cavan - one for every day of the year. Although probably an exaggeration, there are certainly a huge number of loughs nestling between the drumlins throughout the Irish lakeland centred on Cavan but extending to adjoining counties. Despite its name, the lough is far from round. A couple of fishing stages can be seen on the shore.
Seen from the Kingfisher Trail, the first long-distance cycle route to be established in Ireland which crosses and recrosses the border in a 270 Km long figure of eight. |
