English: Rubble Cottage. When the village of Fochabers was founded in 1776, the handiest building material was boulders from the nearby river bed and flood plain. Most cottages are harled, but this one isn't and the rubble construction can be seen. By the way, the cottage isn't called that, it's just my description! |
