Summary
[edit]DescriptionSD3031-The new Blackpool Tram Depot , Starr Gate, Blackpool (geograph 2418906).jpg |
The new Blackpool Tram Depot, Starr Gate, Blackpool. The new futuristic looking depot is now virtually complete. It will house the new articulated single-deck trams from Bombardier. The track layout and overhead outside have been installed. Its situation here, and design, upset a lot of local residents, but as an outsider it's difficult to understand what all the fuss was about. The depot does not replace the old one in Rigby Road, in the town centre, which will be retained for the heritage fleet, although that is being much reduced. |
