English: A ribbon cutting ceremony marked the opening of Falcon Air Force Station, Colorado, Sept. 26, 1985. The 2nd Space Wing, which was activated in July that year, operating from offices at Peterson Air Force Base, Colorado, began moving into the new facilities. Construction of administrative, operational and technical work areas continued, and the 2nd SW's cadre of about 200 personnel primarily worked in Building 500 at the now renamed Schriever Air Force Base.
