| Description |
English: Scrubbing Mill Chimney at Musbury Heights Quarry Haslingden flagstones were used all over the country and were exported. It is said that Trafalgar Square is paved with Haslingden flagstone. The quarries are now exhausted or uneconomical. This photo shows the remains of the Scrubbing Mill where the stones were dragged round on a rough stone surface to finish them to a smooth surface suitble for paving. |
