[edit]DescriptionSculpture, Queen's University Belfast - geograph.org.uk - 1555050.jpg |
English: Sculpture, Queen's University Belfast. Detail of the sculpture 'Eco' outside the New Library at the Queen's University of Belfast.
The sculpture, by frenchman Marc Didou (2004), was acquired by the university in 2008 to both mark the centenary of Queen's as well as the opening of the library. Sitting at the main entrance to the library it is "seamlessly landscaped into the granite paving and lit for maximum effect"; it will also "contain a speaker which will softly play the sound of running water emphasising the concept of reflection and refraction".
