English: Sea wall construction, Hadleigh Marshes As part of the new sea wall construction, the filling for the new bund was provided by tons of rubbish being produced by residents of Southend and Castle Point. Here, the rubbish has been piled up and partially capped with clay. The borrow-dyke in the foreground is sufficiently clean to attract a swan, as well as one of the local dogs. |
