Summary[edit]
| Description | Native, cool season, annual, erect, hairless herb, mostly 10–30 cm tall but sometimes to 50 cm tall. Leaves are cauline, sessile, in distant pairs and ovate to ± circular; rarely ± lanceolate below flowerhead. Flowerheads are rather loose cymes. Flowers are 5-merous. Calyx is fused only at its base. Corolla is 6–9 mm long and yellow, with a cylindrical tube; lobes are shortand spreading. Flowering is chiefly in spring. Grows in damp sites in grasslands and woodlands. |
