Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Shaggy ink caps Coprinus comatus has a white cap that rapidly deliquesces from the outer rim into a spore-bearing black fluid that was once used as ink. If caught in the early stage before this process has started the elongated caps are edible and can be treated in the same way as field mushrooms. The fungus often appears where the ground has been disturbed or, as here, burnt.
