Description
English: Reads: "Watonga, 997 tons, LSS 1876 - 1882. An iron steamer built in Scotland, she ran ashore about a mile south of the Tacking Point Lighthouse on January 2, 1882. [Unreadable] Lighthouse Beach travelling from Sydney to Brisbane. Wotonga Rock and Wotonga Street, Port Macquarie, perpetuate the memory. Sponsored by Kevin and Jean Retallack.
