English: Shops in the commercial core of Blaenau Ffestiniog The commercial core of the town is linear in character and occupies parts of the High Street and Church Street. Blaenau has long lost its importance as a shopping town. The large supermarket chains, with the exception of the Co-op, have ignored the town and many now travel to Porthmadog for the weekly shop at Tesco or Somerfield. |
