English: Ueber die Schädlichkeit des Bierzwanges und der Nothwirthe in Bayern : Nach der Geschichte der alten und neuen Landes- und Polizey-Gesetze bearbeitet Anonymous [Simon Rottmanner]. [S.l.], 1799. Simon Rottmanner published this book anonymously as a response to laws and taxes in Bavaria aimed at discouraging homebrewing. According to Rottmanner these laws and taxes would drive simple people from their homes into taverns and at the same time initiate a competition between the noble classes, monasteries, and civilian brewers.
