Die Weihnachtsinsel liegt nahesüdwestlich von dem herrlichenJava. Die Sonne steht dort zur Zeitder Totalität, die 3™ 42^ dauert, 78choch, was die Beobachtung etwas un-bequem macht.

Dieswird allerdings für den benachbartenStern ß Virginis nicht der Fall sein, beidem die ,,Abdrängung aber nur 0.3betragen wird.
