| Description |
English: Slioch trig. point The summit lies a way further west than the trig. point and has an even better view. In the conditions prevailing on this ascent that was a little academic - simply finding the summit was difficult enough, the sense of a view was just a matter of more light from the sky below the horizontal as the edge of the summit plateau was approached. My Munro log says "Slioch in a blizzard" (and 36 hours earlier it had been blowing force 11 overnight), but down by Loch Maree it was merely drizzling and seemed quite mild. A better game than spending the weekend stuck in Cambridge anyway ! |
