Summary
[edit]DescriptionSmall gorge River Tilt Blair Atholl Red Squirrel Path - geograph.org.uk - 314223.jpg |
English: Small gorge River Tilt Blair Atholl Red Squirrel Path Take the Car Park and Lunch to The Red Squirrel Path, Blair Atholl, from which the Red Squirrel chucks nut husks at people from a great height
so this made a better picture of the River Tilt with its own wedge rock form weirs and spillway, as shown from the east bank Dave Fergusson 108143, while this shows the quartz veins and the incised water shoot controlling the low flow hydraulics of the stream, the upstream pond is mainly determined by this feature at September 2006, this is a fair walk, for fit ankles and boots and many tree root erosion and cut through stream cobble exposures, advice would be to look at this in winter flood without slipping off the side nor venturing too close to the stream and to watch the red squirrel leap at your car from trees up the Carn Liath road in summer conditions, but you have to be prepared to drive very steep gradients and narrow track, not winter advisable. |
