English: Smith Street carriage sidings, Ayr 1983 Before electrification of the Glasgow-Ayr route, the carriage sidings at the Ayr end of the line were inelegantly placed right outside the station building. New facilities south of the station were provided for the new electric trains and the old sidings became flats. |
