| Description |
English: Site of former Soham station, 1991. View northward, towards Ely: ex-GER Ely - Newmarket line. Although severely damaged in the disaster of 2/6/44 when a train of bombs blew up (see Discussion attached to TL5873 : Single track line at Soham), the station was not closed until 13/9/65 (goods 12/9/66). The line has remained open, although singled since 1991, and there is a campaign hoping to reopen Soham station. |
